Meet NORDIC RETREATS
We're so excited to launch our newest campaign for Spring Summer 2023. To bring this shoot in Norway to life, we worked with the talented Rebecca Amber and Lindsey Bundschuh, twin sisters who founded Nordic Retreats, a travel company that combines the creation of amazing photography with yoga and surf in remote locations. The girls’ shared passion is bringing women together from around the world to grow, collaborate and inspire one another to grow as individuals and professionals. They invited two models on this amazing trip to Norway – Shaanti Senaratne and Louise Mikkelsen and with their team of photographers created this shoot for us in the dramatic landscape.
The campaign focuses on natural and earthy women embracing their individuality, beauty and strength and we are thrilled to have partnered with them to bring this vision to life.
We chatted with Rebecca and Lindsey about their life, inspiration, and what they're currently working on.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself, your company Nordic Retreats, and how it all started?
As twin sisters, we are both mothers, artists, and photographers who share a deep love for travel. Splitting our time between Bali and Norway, we embrace the diversity of both cultures and find inspiration in the contrasting environments. Our passion for art and photography fuels our desire to explore and create, allowing us to lead a fulfilling and adventurous lifestyle.
Our photography retreat company was founded with the intention of bringing together like-minded creative women in beautiful destinations to foster connections and inspire their photography. Through a combination of photography, yoga and surfing, we aim to create a supportive and empowering environment where participants can capture stunning imagery, find inspiration, and engage in activities that promote personal growth and well-being.
Avery Swail joined our team on the 2nd retreat, and was with us on our 14th retreat in Norway to mentor this group of amazing and inspiring women.

Tell us about some of the best experiences you have had and best places to travel?
Our retreats have taken us on unforgettable journeys to Bali, Mexico, Hawaii, Portugal, Norway, and Tofino. These diverse locations have provided the backdrop for our photography retreats, offering participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cultures, and the creative energy of each destination. Bali is our absolute favourite place, Its vibrant energy, stunning landscapes and warm hospitality have stolen our hearts. We find endless inspiration and a sense of tranquillity on the island, making it the perfect setting for our photography retreats and now a place we call home.
Have you been to Australia? if so what was your favourite place to visit?
Lindsey spent a year living in Bondi and fell in love with the vibrant atmosphere and found it incredibly inspiring. The coastal beauty and energetic community left a lasting impact, fuelling her creative pursuits and enriching her experiences.
What’s important to you as a family and having to work and have a business together?
For us, family always comes first, prioritizing the bonds we share and nurturing those relationships. We also believe in the transformative power of travel, embracing new cultures and perspectives. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle through nutritious diet and regular exercise is a fundamental aspect of our lives, enabling us to thrive and fully enjoy the adventures that await us.
What does the future bring for you?
We live in the present moment, fully embracing each experience with gratitude and mindfulness, finding joy and inspiration in the here and now. Let’s just say the future is looking bright and warm.
